Caption: Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973) was arguably the most influential artist of the twentieth century. For a few years in his eighties he experimented with making linocut prints with printer Hidalgo Arnera. Together they revolutionised the medium developing a technique which only uses one lino board to build the whole image. You can feel the sunshine of the South of France in this simple still life. |
